Mary Brower, Licensed Massage Therapist

A graduate of the Therapeutic Massage Training Center in Westfield, NJ, I have completed over 500 hours of training in various modalities including Swedish and Deep Tissue massage.  My interest and education have continued into the areas of Reflexology, Energy Healing, such as Donna Eden's Energy Medicine, Healing Touch and Jin Shin Jyutsu^® . 

Currently, I practice massage therapy and energy work at Morristown Medical Center's inpatient program, for new moms in the maternity center, and in the Hospice/Palliative Care department. My practice also includes massage on site at The Seeing Eye in Morristown, NJ to the visually impaired, accompanied by their seeing eye service dogs as well as appointments by request at my home office in Morristown, NJ.

My practice philosophy is centered on the belief that our bodies have the incredible ability to heal themselves when given the proper support and energy.  This belief began with my own personal experience, especially after the birth of my first child.   After neglecting my own physical and emotional well being, my pain sometimes became so severe I began to worry about my ability to care for my child.  Fortunately with the assistance of massage therapy and energy work, I was gradually able to release my habitual tensions.  The process of giving myself the time and space to deeply relax began to pay off.  My body stopped hurting, I began to feel better in all kinds of ways, becoming a better mom in the process.  I would like now to be able to help others do the same, to pass on the wonderful, peaceful, healing experience of massage and energy work.
